Punish'd
An independent apparel brand turning original jokes, wordplay, and cultural references into wearable releases.

01 OVERVIEW
The context comes first.
Punish'd is my independent apparel business, built around a simple idea: take the kind of joke, pun, or ridiculous cultural reference that makes someone stop for a second and turn it into something they would actually want to wear. I founded the brand and lead it end to end—from developing concepts and shaping the visual identity to building the storefront, producing products, creating marketing assets, and deciding what ultimately makes it into the catalog.
Punish'd sits somewhere between a comedy project, a design studio, and a T-shirt company. The shirts are made for people who like their humor clever, referential, occasionally stupid, and just inappropriate enough to be interesting—the kind of designs that work as both clothing and an inside joke with whoever happens to get them.
This case study is deliberately incomplete until Jason supplies and approves the facts.
02 CONTRIBUTION
What was made, moved, or changed.
- 01Design & Creative Direction—
Developed the concepts, jokes, visual directions, and overall creative system behind the brand, translating everything from wordplay to pop-culture-inspired ideas into designs that could work clearly and immediately on a shirt.
- 02Product, Production & Releases—
Took ideas from rough concept through finished merchandise, making decisions around artwork, garment presentation, product positioning, mockups, pricing, storefront presentation, and release readiness.
- 03Business Operations—
Built and operate the business behind the creative work, including the Shopify storefront, product catalog, merchandising, brand development, marketing experimentation, fulfillment infrastructure, and ongoing testing of how a small independent apparel brand can attract and convert an audience.
03 VISUAL RECORD
A flexible frame for the real work.

04 HIGHLIGHTS
Where the work landed.
- Lord of the Onion Rings — A fantasy-inspired visual pun built around one of the brand's core creative formulas: take an immediately recognizable cultural idea, introduce one absurd substitution, and develop the joke far enough that it becomes its own piece of artwork. Part of the growing Punish'd catalog of original humor-driven releases.
- Jurassic Pork — A deliberately ridiculous mashup that turns a familiar phrase into a standalone apparel concept. The design reflects Punish'd's broader approach of using simple, instantly readable jokes as the foundation for more developed visual storytelling.
- Cereal Killer — A darkly playful interpretation of a classic piece of wordplay, designed around the balance Punish'd aims for across the catalog: understandable at a glance, visually strong from a distance, and rewarding enough up close to make the shirt more than a printed punchline.
